I am pleased to introduce my new line of quilting patterns. I have been designing quilt patterns for over 20 years. My inspiration comes from old traditional quilt blocks. When I first learned to quilt I spent a lot of time in my local library combing through quilt history books looking for fun blocks to piece using the new quilting techniques. I've also designed a reproduction series based on antique quilts that I have seen here and there. Each of my quilt patterns have at least three sizes and most are suited for the average quilter.
As a child I spent many summers visiting the family farm in Iowa. Some of my favorite memories are staying at my grandmother's cottage style bungalow. She had a large garden and loved flowers. She made simple tied quilts for us and was very influential in my desire to learn to quilt.
My husband and I have lived in the midwest all of our lives and we have two beautiful daughters. Our oldest, Beth, and her husband Jon, blessed us with our first grandaughter in December of 2007. Beth is also a quilter and has started designing quilt patterns as well. Our younger daughter Emily is a junior in college majoring in social work. She has little interest in quilting but is very gifted in photography and art .
